My name is Dean Pileggi and I am a 25-year-old from West Chester, PA. I graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in Tourism and a focus in Venue Management/Event Planning. After discovering my passion for music and events, I continued to immerse myself further into the industry. I began my career as an Operations Coordinator for Movin On’ Festival, one of the top five largest student run festivals in the country. This position was one of my most memorable experiences and accelerated my journey into the music industry. Later interning for Live Nation, I had the pleasure of working at Philadelphia’s favorite music venues and event spaces including The Fillmore, The TLA, BB&T Pavilion, Festival Pier (RIP), and The Met, to name a few. Throughout my career, I have also had the privilege of doing Artist Hospitality and Art & Design at Hangout Music Festival, working stage crew at The Bryce Jordan Center, and running promotion teams for Okeechobee and Camp Bisco. These experiences have given me the opportunity to develop relationships with some of the most genuine and hardworking people I know. I currently work for Unlocked Presents as their Promotions Manager and I am a full-time Real Estate Agent at Compass. In 2019, I started my own Artist Management company called Cymatic Select, which has helped me express my creativity and love for the industry alongside some of my best friends. Being a part of such an innovative non-profit like Aftershock is an honor. I am blessed to be able to work on a team with people who are as passionate about music and enhancing the community as I am. Aftershock truly is a special project that is changing the way people connect through art.

One in five adults suffer from a Mental Illness. Mental health and wellness is something I strongly advocate for. It has been overlooked and stigmatized for many years, and the world is just now starting to give it more attention. I want to do my part in breaking down the walls associated with Mental Illness and help those who suffer find the help they deserve.
Often times, mental health issues can lead to negative coping mechanisms and harmful addictions. The Angels Against Addiction Foundation and The Phightin’ Franky Foundation are two of my favorite non-profit organizations focused on bringing awareness and education to the community about addiction and mental health, while helping those affected seek recovery.
