Bio

My name is Sam and I am a 23 year old based in Los Angeles, CA. I graduated from the Rowan University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and a Certificate of Undergraduate Studies in Leadership and Management. Over the past few years, my interest in the music scene increased, as well as my work with non-profits. I started to see how social impact can be woven into every aspect of a person’s life.

When Louis approached me with the opportunity to join this team, it seemed like fate. Within a few weeks, I became Louis’ Executive Assistant and the HR Coordinator here at AfterShock. By giving artists the opportunity to build their own communities and show that even the smallest actions are important, AfterShock offers a new perspective for the conscious creative. I’ve loved my time with AfterShock so far as nothing brings me more joy than writing up policies, staying organized, and supporting my favorite people along the way!

Supporting Cause - Mental Health & Recovery

Mental health and recovery have always held a big impact on my life because of my own personal history. Growing up with depression and anxiety, I struggled completing common tasks and I did not know that it didn’t have to be that way. Even when I tried to find resources to get help, it was hard to find and most trails lead to a dead end. Recently, I’ve been able to find the right people and outlets needed to get proper treatment and care. However, I know that many others are not as fortunate as I. So, I fight for mental health and recovery to be prioritized to the public as it should not be taboo if someone does seek mental help, nor should it be a privilege to do so. It should be something offered to all as many, like me, do not know that it’s even an option before it is too late.
