A Message to the Fam
Dear Beloved Fam,
What started as an intention of empowering artists through social impact has grown into something greater than anyone could have imagined. In a time of isolated divide, we came together and grew a family. A family connected not by blood, but by a greater vision of Connecting Conscious Creators.
That’s more than a phrase to our family, it’s an intention, emotional feeling, or even memory that guides us to becoming better people. It’s the individuals we helped, skills we learned, people we became close with, art we created & supported, goals we outgrew, and purpose we found in ourselves.
We can probably all agree that 2021 couldn’t come soon enough. In a year of struggle, pain, and heartache, we have been inspired & driven to make a difference in our world. At AfterShock, we know that everyone deserves a community that loves and inspires them. We have made amazing strides since our launch in June with “Aftershock Music Week”, and we have been so blessed to have you join us on this journey.
Without your incredible support and involvement in our mission, none of this would be possible and we are honored to have you with us on our journey. In 2021, we hope to grow this family even more and continue to connect creative individuals through a social impact & community.
We hope our actions and words inspire the world around us to creatively take action towards a more impactful tomorrow.
From all of us here at AfterShock,
We Love You & Welcome to the Fam!
AfterShock is a 501(c)3 record label that connects creativity and consciousness. We empower underserved artists by providing the necessary resources for creative development and community impact.
Our programs focus on providing artists with new insights, approaches, connections, and perspectives that outlast formal music education. By connecting artists with social causes and a network of like-minded creatives, we provide opportunities for advancement beyond the music community.
Who We Are
Over the past year, we have created a family of artists that care about more than just music. We have provided free education, feedback sessions, marketing workshops, a network of like-minded creatives, and opportunities to bring their vision to light.
After learning what it takes to help develop artists for a successful & impactful career, we have assembled a team of educational mentors to provide guidance, knowledge, and a creative platform to support the world we live in.
What We Do
As a nonprofit label based around education, we want to give every artist the proper tools and resources for a sustainable career through various creative programs.
When artists graduate from our programs, we want to continue their education by providing learning opportunities that help them grow their passions through our workshops and mentorship programs.
Join our network of artists to meet new connections, find useful information, and access resources to further their creative growth. We also have plenty of fun together in the process!
Shows & Takeovers
Check us out at a local venue or festival stage near you! If you have an event that you think we’d align with, please let us know and see what we can make happen!
As we connect with more artists & industry professionals, we want to help our network find the proper people to work with. Let us know what you are looking for: visual designer, mix & master, videographer, tour manager, production gear, we may already know who to talk to!
This is the heart of our organization. AfterShock has helped set up many volunteer initiatives and continues to look for ways to inspire artists to follow. We want to help artists connect with their local communities to give back in whichever way resonates the most to each person.
Provide underserved artists creative training & opportunities that outlast formal music education.
Build an educational network of educators, business professionals, creatives, educational institutions, and organizations.
Drive social action in artists, academic institutions, local businesses, and surrounding communities.
